MicroVal Workshop
The MicroVal Workshop will be organized following the 3rd International MicroVal Symposium at the Inntel Hotels Rotterdam Centre, The Netherlands, at Friday 16 March 2012.The workshop can be attended separately from the Symposium. During the workshop, information will be provided on the details of the standard EN-ISO 16140:2003, The MicroVal Rules, The MicroVal Technical Protocol as a guide for a validation study plan and statistical calculations. A MicroVal certificate will give access to the European food safety testing market.
MicroVal operates closely together with the American AOAC-RI (USA) in order that method manufacturers can get two certificates from both organisations, one for the European market and one for the American market. Only one single validation study is performed by a MicroVal Expert Laboratory fulfilling both the requirements for MicroVal and AOAC-RI. Additional information will be provided on the requirements to become certified by both MicroVal and AOAC-RI ) using one single harmonized validation study.
This workshop is of particular interest to manufacturers who wish to become MicroVal certified for their products. This workshop will also be of interest to independent service laboratories who like to become MicroVal Expert Laboratories to conduct validations studies and microbiology food experts who wish to become MicroVal Method Reviewers.
